SonicLABs ((7)) was a month-long series that explored and investigated new ideas and concepts for Soundwave’s seventh season theme of Architecture. It included performances that took place at Battery Townsley, a historic World War II Fortification in the Marin Headlands, AudioBus, a mobile concert venue that took audiences on a sonic journey through rapidly changing districts in San Francisco, the California Academy of Sciences, and Obscura Digital in SF. Diverse artists were invited to interpret the season’s theme through sound and performance, activating these venues in new and provocative ways.
